Six rules for print-ready artwork
Following these will help your job go to print faster, with no surprises.
Add bleed
Extend background colours and images 3 mm beyond the trim edge so no white lines appear after cutting.
Respect the safe zone
Keep text and logos at least 3-5 mm inside the trim edge.
Use high resolution
Images should be 300 dpi at the final print size (100-150 dpi is fine for large banners).
Design in CMYK
Screens use RGB; printers use CMYK. Convert your file to CMYK to avoid colour shifts.
Outline your fonts
Convert text to outlines/curves, or embed fonts in your PDF, so your text prints exactly as designed.
Send the right file
PDF, AI, EPS or SVG are best. High-quality PNG/JPG are accepted. We always send a proof before printing.
